Hey you!  Yes, you!

Thank YOU for coming out, participating in and making the
Ambient Mafia 8-year Anniversary Celebration an event for the
record books.

You see, the event would not have been the same without you. 
For us it was a fulfillment of a lifelong dream:  a dream that
began eight years ago when a few headz got together and
thought, "what if..."

"What if," indeed.

If you were in attendance on Saturday night, you witnessed that
dream explode beyond our wildest expectations.  As you know,
this event was about love:  love for the community that has
supported us for all of these years.  The community that has
taught us about exceeding the basics of party-throwing.  The
community that showed us that interaction and inclusion of our
attendees makes a good event an *epic* event.

This was our thanks to YOU.  Thank you for supporting us for
eight long years, for guiding us and giving advice on what you
want and need in an event.

And our apologies – our stilt walkers were having trouble
maneuvering around as the floors were so slippery due to the
rain:  we thought it was safer to forego that aspect of the
party.
 
Thanks to your support we have raised $1000 to be donated to
Direct Relief (directrelief.org) and SF Bay Keeper
(sfbaykeeper.org) to aid with the Southern California fires and
cleaning up the Bay Area oil spill.  (The Red Cross is no
longer accepting donations for the SoCal relief effort.)

Again, thank you for making this event what it was.  Keep your
ear to the ground - we will see you soon.
